Fillers and Botox have redefined the relationship that the average person has with the aesthetic field.

The last six years have seen a non surgical revolution and I look forward to all the new stuff we have yet to discover!

Neograft is a device that has come on the market relatively recently. It represents a way to automate and improve hair replacement procedures.

Classically, hair replacement requires the surgeon to harvest a strip of skin and hair from the back of the scalp and divide it into hundreds of tiny grafts that he then inserts into the areas of hair loss. The procedure works well, but harvesting the skin results in painful downtime with a significant scar. Patients also sometimes get numbness and prolonged pain in the area of the donor site. With this technique, patients are limited in how many procedures they can have. Most of the time, two is the maximum. The problem is that the process of hair loss keeps going over time, so as the natural hair recedes, more grafts are needed. With the traditional strip harvesting method, you can’t do more grafts because you eventually run out of skin at the back of the scalp.

The Neograft device permits harvesting individual hair grafts from the back of the scalp. The machine takes the graft with minimal trauma and then places it into the areas of hair loss. The quality of the hair replacement result is just as good as with the strip method, but the procedure is much easier on the patient. Instead of an unsightly scar, the donor site consists of many tiny needle marks that heal completely within a couple of days.

No pain, no scarring, minimal downtime.

I think that Neograft represents a significant advance in hair replacement treatment and we have begun treating patients with excellent results so far.
