Non-Surgical vs. Traditional Facelift

Non-surgical facelift is a safe, non-invasive alternative to traditional facelift surgery. The procedure is great for those patients that are showing early signs of aging in their face. Dr. Rivkin has pioneered many non-invasive alternatives to cosmetic surgery, including the non-surgical facelift and other procedures, in order to provide excellent augmentation and enhancement results with the little or no pain and recovery time. Facelifts are one of the most extreme and invasive cosmetic procedures. Dr. Rivkin’s non-surgical facelift is non-invasive and avoids nearly all of the complications encountered with traditional facelifts.

Traditional Facelift
Surgery always carries inherent risks including scarring, infection, and anesthesia complications. Risks specific to facelift surgery include numbness or paralysis of the face, severe scarring, and disfigurement.

Non-surgical Facelift
Non-surgical facelift avoids the risks of surgery and does not leave scars.

Traditional Facelift
Recovery from facelift surgery can involve weeks or months of severe pain, swelling and bruising. Normal recovery takes one to two months. Strong pain medication and cool compresses are typically required during recovery.

Non-surgical Facelift
Most patients return to work in one to three days after their non-surgical facelift. There may be some minor bruising and there is no significant swelling or pain.

Cosmetic Results

Traditional Facelift
The results of traditional facelift last seven to ten years. Results are difficult to predict and often result in a face that looks and feel too tight or a constant “surprised” look. Sometimes the results are less dramatic than desired. A common complaint after facelift surgery is that patients no longer look like themselves. While the anti-aging effects are temporary, a traditional facelift can permanently change the basic look of your face.

Non-surgical Facelift
The results of a non-surgical facelift are subtle, but very effective. It does not alter your basic look, but rather seeks to restore your youthful appearance. During the procedure you will be asked to look at your face and provide feedback, meaning that you have total control over the end result. Results of the BOTOX® aspect of the procedure last about three months and the fillers last up to two years.

Traditional Facelift
On average, traditional facelift costs about $5,500.00 to $6,000.00. This does not include hospital and anesthesia fees that can both be higher than the cost of the surgery itself. Subsequent to surgery you will have prescriptions for antibiotics and pain medications, which will be additional costs.

Non-surgical Face lift
Dr. Rivkin’s non-surgical facelift costs $1,000 to $2,500, depending on what needs to be done. Touch ups are usually complementary.
