Radiesse injections cause no significant pain, swelling, or recovery time. A topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment. Small amounts of Radiesse are injected into precise locations, and in most cases you will be asked to give feedback so that you have control over your final look.

After injection of Radiesse, your body’s skin cells grow around the calcium hydroxylapatite particles. The Radiesse acts like scaffolding through which the body’s cells grow. Within about a week, the injectable becomes integrated into the skin. As part of the skin, the implant does not move and is very durable.

The result is a soft, pliable filled area, which looks natural. After about one and a half years your body absorbs the filler and the injections can be repeated, meaning that the treated area can be adjusted to compliment the changes that occur in your face over time.
