Spider Veins
We treat spider veins with the 1064nm YAG laser. This laser emits light of a specific wavelength that is absorbed by the blood vessel, heating and destroying it, without damaging the surrounding tissue. The YAG laser involves minimal discomfort and patients can usually go back to work immediately. We normally recommend two to three treatments, about a month apart.
Varicose Veins
Varicose veins are injected with a solution that causes them to shut down. This is safe and almost painless. Most patients can go back to work the same day or the next day. We recommend wearing a compressive wrap for a few days to speed healing and optimize the results.
